The V8 lives! The new BMW X5 heard angry noises made

BMW will not start producing the next generation for another year, but more and more prototypes are being seen on the open road. A large fleet of G65 test vehicles could be seen in an apparently sunny Spain. Of all camouflaged cars, this excited the most attention with a license plate that ends in “4569”. Although it has a quad exhaust, it is not an adult M car, but an M performance model.

We believe that it means X5 M60E because it is a plug-in hybrid. Do you note how BMW couldn’t hide the loading connection on the front fender of the driver? We had expected the electrified luxury SUV to use an inline six in this M-Lite taste. However, the noises that do it seem to come from a larger V8. If our assumption is correct, it would be a pleasant surprise if you consider that the M760E ends with a smaller six -cylinder mill.

The jury is still adopted whether Europe will receive a kind of V8-driven X5. Adding a plug-in hybrid setup increases the likelihood of seeing the “S68” engine on the old continent, but we cannot be quite sure. If this is not the case, BMW could only sell the eight -cylinder X5 M60E in markets with more relaxed emission regulations such as the United States. We still hope for a few M-ness in the EU, but don’t be too surprised if the formula contains only a six-cylinder engine.

Two identically named models with different drive lines Depending on the region do not sound properly. If this X5 M60E does not come to Europe, BMW is probably planning to sell something else. The strong possibility of a mild V8 version is to be confused, although this has even less chance to make it to European countries. It is also unlikely that an X5 m with eight cylinders in Europe will be sold in Europe after the current generation.

The full electrical X5 M (“G95”), which we recently mentioned, definitely comes to Europe. Logic suggests that BMW does not force customers to become electrical if they want a sportier version. An option operated by petrol can continue to be under development. It remains to be seen whether six or eight cylinders can be seen with or without M power branding. However, the next X5 offers something for everyone, including diesel fans, thanks to a 40D XDRIVE variant.
