Are you tired of seeing the BMW 7 Series in the same unimaginative colors? Well, it’s not that. This silent luxury barge is an all-electric i7 in eDrive50 specification and features a custom paint job that is one of the most striking on the market. We’re used to seeing Sao Paulo yellow on M cars, but whether it suits a full-size sedan is up for debate.
Personal preference aside, it’s hard to deny that this car stands out from a mile away. As if the oversized grille and split headlights weren’t enough, this “G70” takes it a step further with a bright color in a sea of blacks and grays. Whoever ordered the car in the paint code “C4H” clearly wanted to make a statement.
This rear-wheel drive i7 rides on optional 21-inch “908 M” two-tone wheels when paired with the M Sport package. The bold exterior in Sao Paulo Yellow is complemented by an equally bold leather interior in Smoke White.
It won’t be long before BMW makes a splash in the design department. Munich’s flagship Life Cycle Impulse event is coming up next year. Although the new iX3 introduces a new design language, the 7 Series won’t adopt it entirely. Prototypes still feature the unconventional split headlights that flank the large kidney grilles.
An old favorite returns for the second half of the model’s lifecycle. ALPINA will continue to develop the in-line six-cylinder and V8 versions as well as the electric 7 Series. According to reports, the i7 70 xDrive will be the brand’s first electric vehicle in history. All three versions reportedly have a different codename: “G72.” Expect exclusive colors and another level of customization from ALPINA. Of course at a price.
We hear that BMW is planning a refresh of the 7 Series, starting with vehicles produced from July 2026. The world premiere would then take place either in late spring or early summer. Meanwhile, sales remain strong in the United States, where deliveries rose 23.5% to 8,531 units through September. The LCI could spark even greater interest among those who still prefer sedans despite the ongoing SUV trend.
