With BMW you can now stream Disney+ content in newer cars

If there were up to BMW, the owners would probably never leave their cars. There is always something to do, even after you have reached your goal. For example, you can play video games on the infotainment display with your smartphone as a controller. Or, if you prefer to relax, you can sit on the back of a 7 series and watch a film on the 31.3-inch theater screen with Amazon Fire TV Support.

In the future, BMW will add another way to spend the time while waiting for someone or that you will be charged EV or plug-in hybrid. With another streaming option, it is expanding in the car. The Disney+ app can now be downloaded from the BMW App Store. However, it is only available for newer models that are equipped with IDRIVE 8.5, IDRIVE 9 or the newly launched IDRIVE X, which debuted on the IX3.

To make things easy, no separate account needs to be created. You can access the service directly via your existing Disney+ registration information. As expected, streaming is limited to when the vehicle is inpatient. Otherwise it would be a serious risk of diversification.

BMW plans to expand its selection of video streaming platforms beyond Disney+ and YouTube. The dedicated video app will be introduced at all BMW ConnectedDrive markets by the end of next year. To sweeten the pot, there is country -specific content as well as the possibility of streaming concerts and sporting events.

Overall, BMW is determined to ensure that they are never bored in its cars. The online shop already offers more than 60 apps that play everything from audio and news to and even cover zoom video calls.

Ok, that’s nice and everything, but what about driving the cars? If you are worried that the legendary slogan of BMW, “The ultimate driving machine” No longer fits into this new, software -oriented world. The company insists that the upcoming wave of new EVS class will remain true to its roots. We have promised that these new cars are fun to drive, get involved and feel far from being oversized on wheels.
