Charged EVs | Marposs provides new optical system for measuring stator hairpins

Measurement, inspection and check expertise firm Marposs has introduced a brand new optical inspection system for stator hairpins.

The corporate says, “Conventional contact methods, or use of reference profile masks/jigs, can simply deform the supposed form.” The brand new system is out there in a manual-loaded check bench model for workshops and labs or in a model that may be built-in into an automatic manufacturing line.

The brand new system consists of three proprietary high-resolution cameras with telecentric lenses. It measures the top, tail and roof of hairpins by inserting them on tempered glass with reference factors for pin placement, snapping three photos with one picture per digital camera and utilizing software program to detect factors and dimensions. “Your entire measurement cycle is achieved in solely 5 seconds,” in line with the corporate.
