The US will receive a few additional examples of the 2023 Polestar 2 BST Edition 270, the special edition Polestar 2 electric hatchback launched in June and limited to 270 units worldwide.
Only 47 were originally slated for the US, but Polestar has since increased the number to 58, Car and Driver reported Thursday.
A Polestar spokesman told the Motor Authority the car has sold out in the US, even with the additional allocation, and that the first examples have recently been delivered to customers.
The Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 benefits from a number of chassis mods, as well as the 476 hp and 502 lb-ft power rating that regular Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor models receive via an available $1,195 power upgrade.

The chassis modifications, which include a 25mm lower ride height, unique tuning for the regular Polestar 2’s available Öhlins dampers, a front strut brace and unique 21-inch wheels, aim to improve handling without compromising ride comfort affect.
The Polestar 2 arrived for 2021 and saw a single-motor class added to the lineup for 2022. Taking a leaf out of Tesla’s playbook, Polestar plans to offer continuous updates to its lineup, with Polestar 2 2023 changes including new design options and more range on some classes, in addition to the BST Edition 270. Other significant changes are in the pipeline as the recent sighting of a camouflaged prototype suggests some styling upgrades are in the pipeline, possibly for 2024.
