Modern Mustang boss rumors ignite with the latest message

Could Ford prepare a modern Mustang boss for the Seventh generation of Mustang?

A trademark that the name “Boss” requested by Ford on January 15 with the “Boss” US patent and brand office of the United States Certainly indicates the possibility.

The Mustang boss has long been a name associated with track focus with powerful Mustangs. The original Boss 302 and Boss 429 Models from 1969-70 were built for related racing programs in Trans-AM and NASCAR.

Ford revived the Boss 302 with the fifth generation of Mustang for the 2012 and 2013 model years and equipped with A 444 hp 5.0-liter V-8Improved suspension, a sports exhaust and unique styling details. There was also a Laguna Seca package that added additional delicacies.

This last boss 302 has achieved a room in the Mustang line -up, similar to today’s Mustang Dark Horse. If Ford revives the boss, he may have to be lifted and possibly take the place of the Shelby GT350 of the previous generation, which is offered with a naturally sucked flat flap V-8 and a track-ready dynamic. A repetition of the GT350 at Ford is not at least expected with this generation of the Mustang, since Shelby American has just introduced his own Shelby GT350 based on the latest Mustang.

It is worth noting that car manufacturers often submit brand protection in names that you may never use, often as a preventive step to block competitors. However, rumors about a revival of the Mustang boss appeared at the end of the last decade, which indicates that the idea was at least taken into account. It remains to be seen whether this brand registration leads to an actual production model.
