Bugatti Brouillard – on the back of horses

A limited production run is not exclusive enough for you? Bugatti, the most sophisticated of all luxury skipers, now has the perfect answer. The Bugatti Brouillard is a one-time hypersport car in contrast to any other and by the way a tribute to Ettore Bugatti’s love for horses. The multimillion euro collector is presented in the Monterey Car Week. Unfortunately it is already sold – but more will be followed.

With his personalization program “Sur Mesure”, Bugatti can fulfill practically any conceivable wish of its wealthy customers. But for something more exclusive, more unusual and well-outraged, the answer lies in a one-time hypersport car like the Bugatti Brouillard. And because a car in combination with a good story becomes even more convincing, this green luxury coupé with its dramatic 16-cylinder engine in the back “Brouillard”-according to Ettore Bugatti’s favorite horse, is an enforcement thoroughbred that was smart enough to open its own stable door over a special mechanism. In contrast to the individual performance of its namedaker, the car version has 1,600 hp – with the corresponding performance.

“The Solitaire program enables us to examine the unique visions of our customers in a really authentic way and to give us a greater freedom to reinterpret the long-standing Bugatti design language,” says Hendrik Malinowski, managing director at Bugatti. “With a one-off use, we have far more creative freedom and keep our absolute commitment to perfection in every detail upright-no compromises in performance, quality or design.” As part of this program, no more than two unique vehicles will be created each year, each for a very special Bugatti customer – who already has everything.

The customer behind this Bugatti Brouillard wants to remain anonymous. He is a passionate Bugatti collector who not only has modern examples, but also a large number of historical Bugattis. Its collection also includes original -Carlo Bugatti furniture and Rembrandt Bugatti bronze sculptures. With the brouillard he wanted to combine the Bugatti family’s craftsmanship in a masterpiece – crowned by Ettores passion for horses.

Bugatti’s Solitaire recovery program is inspired by the brand’s coachbuilding roots, a tradition that flourished in the early 20th century was created as the best car bodies through cooperations between car manufacturers and specialists. Jean Bugatti revolutionized this approach by bringing craftsmanship in his own house, which led to icons such as the SC atlantic of type 57. Although this may be the most famous, the chassis of type 57 was also equipped with a number of homemade body styles, including Galibier, Stelvio, Ventoux and Atalante, which promoted everything from four -door saloons to two -door coupés and convertibles.

Inside, the Bugatti brouillard has tailor-made tartan patterns, paired with green carbon fiber and aluminum elements that are highlighted by an expansive glass roof. Sticked horse motifs are sewn into the door panels and the back of the seats. The seats themselves have a leather stain, while the aluminum gear contains a glass insert with a handmade miniature sculpture of Ettores loved horse. The value: several million euros – or for the collector, maybe even more. Quite simply: priceless.
