The type of project that sounds wonderful on paper and theoretically – until you achieve invoices and recognize that you have to sell all your secular possessions to cover a fraction of the costs. After all, many enthusiasts can live out their dream and create a real “dream building”. Autoalex, a Youtuber, based in Great Britain, that is known for the revival and modification of classic BMWs recently completed a two-year passion project: the ultimate E46 M3 touring-a auto-BMW. “
How Alex ‘E46 M3 Touring was brought to life
It’s a story like time – and exactly what happened to me. They scream enough money to buy a perfectly imperfect E46 M3, and the underground decides: “My work here is done” and splits. As with all good M3 touring builds, the process is essentially broken down by the M3-to-BE value. Councilor, frame and even body components are grafted, welded or inserted instead of the drive of the old car. Under the sheet, the car naturally receives the S54 3.2-liter inline-six from the E46 M3. And of course a six-speed manual transmission.
